KCDeane
Hey I got a 1976 Datsun 620. Currently trying to figure out where the hoses for the heater radiator hook into the radiator of the truck, or the motor? Who ever got it running had cut the hosing in half and don't see any place to hook it up to the motor or current hosing. Any help or photos would be much appreciated! Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Welcome, They hook into the engine. One on the thermostat housing and one at the back of the head. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Heater hoses??? There is a brass? elbow on the rear spark plug side of the head which is the hot water outlet. The return goes back just under the spark plugs to the front where the lower radiator hose joins to the timing cover. It's the pipe center left with the blue paint on it. Your '76 won't have the smaller vertical pipe with the hose clamp on it.... Quote Link to comment
DARIN 510
I think what you are looking for is number 22 and 23 in the diagram. I looked up for a L20b. Parts numbers #22 - 27020-B5501 #23 - 27021-B5500 Quote Link to comment
KCDeane
You guys are legendary. Thank you for this. I found the diagram but just not sure where or how it went into the motor. They must have taken off both of those and plugged them. Back under the hood we go. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
The part may still be available? The part for the 620 is 27070-B5000 but all the L and Z series engines used them some with a different part number 27070-21600 and 27070-H5000. The L series are located as described previously and the Z series are in the side of the block half way down and above the starter. Any L or Z series engine with a heater will have one if you are in a wrecking yard... take a pipe wrench with you. Quote Link to comment

DARIN 510
You’re better off just getting those from the dealer. Most of the time you find used ones that are badly rusted like this. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Absolutely if they have them. Maybe try e bay. I think under $15 Canadian again if available. Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
The last I saw those aluminum inlet/outlets available, they were in the 280ZX variety with a single threaded bung on the side. No provision for intake heating/cooling hose. Quote Link to comment
