Wrench girl
I am having a heck of a time finding a Revolution Sensor that is correct and not discontinued. Any ideas where to obtain discontinued parts? ( 1994 Nissan Pathfinder Xe) Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
This is the speedometer speed sender in the tail of the transmission?? Do you have the old one? Quote Link to comment
Wrench girl
The sensor is part #3193541x63but everywhere I look it's discontinued. It is located on transmission not on the wheel. Yes, old part is still on vehicle. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
31935-41X63 automatic 4x4 VG30 engine D21 Hardbody and WD22 Pathfinder after '89 This was the newly introduced 4 speed automatic transmission after the 4L71B I'm not at all familiar with. It also does not appear to be the mechanical or the electronic speed sensor for the speedometer, so it's something else. This transmission's shift points were monitored and controlled by the engine's EFI box so something for that. If new ones are unavailable try a used one from a wrecking yard, there are plenty out there. Strictly speaking 41X63 was only on the 4x4 automatic Pathfinders Two and four wheel drive, VG30 (V6) automatic Hardbodys and Pathfinders after '89. The distinction number 63 indicates a minor change in the part from those previously used (41X23 and 41X24) (such as color for example) so the 2wd automatic sensors should work also. Wrench girl
OK that's what I came up with as well. Hoping the yards around me won't force me to buy the whole transmission instead of allowing me to pull just the sensor, some do I've heard. I'll keep ya posted. Thanks for the feedback. Crashtd420
Try here..... https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts/nissan-sensor-assy-rev~31935-41x63.html Hopefully it doesn't come back as out of stock if you order it.... Quote Link to comment
Wrench girl
Irony is I ordered the part through them last week. Was expecting to receive the part next week but got an email yesterday saying it was discontinued or out of stock with no ETA of restocking. 🤬 So frustrating... Quote Link to comment
Wrench girl
And they charged my card twice and still have not gotten my money back from either transaction. Quote Link to comment

Wrench girl
I hope so. I fortunately have found the same year in a yard with front end damage that happened in the first 10 years of its life, so hoping to go this weekend and pull the part. 2 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
BTW.... what leads you to think your sensor is bad in the first place? Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
Pick and pull go out into yard , pull sensor . If you feel obligated , show it to counter person .. They could give not one care where it fits . Quote Link to comment

I have the ase mechanics service manual that lists the codes and how to read them via blinking lights on the ET-A Switch. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
bottomwatcher
Ok the computer will say "bad sensor" but not poor connections or damaged wiring. If there is a plug that goes to the sensor clean it and check for any damage to wire insulation. This is a location under the vehicle exposed to weather, salt (depending on where you live) and road debris. I am cheap and clean my connections especially grounds first before replacing components and many times the problem goes away. I have a rear wheel speed sensor on an old Toyota that had a cut wire showing the code. A quick solder job and 2 years later rolling code free. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Seen similar with a corroded light bulb. Replacing the bulb also fixes it and why I often say to disconnect and re connect many electrical plugs just to clean the connections. Quote Link to comment
Wrench girl
Thinking the same thing. Going to get under there today, give everything a good cleaning and make sure everything is connected properly. 1 Quote Link to comment
