angliagt
After missing out on an '85 King Cab,I've decided to look for an '86 - '97 Hardbody truck, as my '96 Ford F150 (4WD,Super Cab,351/auto) is too much for my 1 hour round trip commute. As I'm not in the Fire Department anymore, since moving,I don't have much use for a full-size truck. What do I look for in one,& what's the best year(s) for them? Does anyone have a nice one for sale in the Eastern US? I'll take 2 or 4WD,& could live with an automatic,if it's in great shape, but would prefer a stick. Also - must be a King Cab. Thanks,in advance for any help. 1 Quote Link to comment

Dolomite
If you go v6, get on with a vg-e, the vg-i has shit fuel injection and much less power. I had an 87, great truck, good wheeler and snow truck, but you have to flog the dogshit out of it up any kind of grade. Hardbodys are indestructible...mine had been wrecked pretty hard, po put on a newer front clip and you couldn’t tell it was ever damaged. 1 Quote Link to comment
