carterb
I have 79 Deluxe KC doors on my 78 620. The door panels go all the way up to the window. I'd like to swap them for the shorter standard door panels. Is there any difference in the doors themselves that would prevent this swap? Thanks for the info. --carter Quote Link to comment
Jersey
No difference. However, if I remember correctly the early doors with the metal strip that screws to the top: they don't have receiver holes where the strip goes. So in that case you would have to drill the holes. I kind of remember having to drill some holes...In your case you should be fine. 1 Quote Link to comment
willz
Pretty sure there aren't any holes, just the normal snaps. You can actually remove the upper section from the deluxe doors I believe and wrap them around 1 Quote Link to comment
carterb
Thanks for the info guys! Anyone want to trade, tan standard for tan deluxe? Quote Link to comment
Seeker > 620 KC
I've done this to my 79, there were no screws holding the top of the deluxe door panel. They use the same slotted holes to attach as the inner wiper does when used with the standard door panel. I just stripped a 76, they have the same slotted holes as the 79. Quote Link to comment

Later ones had 'snaps' across the tops. Both of these stop short of the window glass and left metal showing where your arm would rest on it.. Quote Link to comment
