flatcat19
510s here in America came with disc front brakes. You should fill out your profile completely and provide more information. Quote Link to comment
gBaeza
you are right, in the USA they came with disc brakes but in mexico they were sell with all drum brakes. My car is a 1969 datsun 1300 deluxe S/N '9l510' Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
You kind of just answered your own question. Quote Link to comment
gBaeza
OEM datsun 510 disk brakes are quite hard to find in mexico and my budget is not big at all, what i'm asking for is more options for the conversion, maybe something from a modern nissan car, i don't know. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
280zx strut/brake swap is as modern as you can get, without going crazy. Differences between an American 510 and a Mexican 510-that, I do not know. You may need to do some of your own research. The forum helps those that helps themselves. I'm sure that specific topic has been covered somewhere here before. 2 Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
People do often use 280zx struts to upgrade 510s here in the U.S. this also means that stock 510 stuff can be easily obtained here. I would recommend you take your drums off and take a bunch of photos of the drums and the struts. Tell us what bearings are used in your drums. With that we can try to help you know if U.S. 510 disc parts would fit and go from there. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
It could be just as simple as finding the hubs, discs, and calipers to complete this swap. Or swapping in a complete 280zx set the same way US 510s do. Again, research, research, research. I hope some of this info will help you to better home your search results. Quote Link to comment
