reza
I see , cool I have seen some without any bumpers and looked cool but they were pics from vintage racing circuits Yeah it looks awesome but I'm not brave enough to run without bumpers. Quote Link to comment
JDOM310
Yeah no way that would be so bad but the looks cool when I have seen it I like the original spec. There's a cool black Sss for sale 66 In sf but it's too much of a project would be so cool man last long beach show I went to I think there was one 411 in a sea of Datsuns. So rare in good shape. MikeRL411
Thanks for the link but when the trans dies, whenever that is, I'll be swapping to manual. I parted out a manual 411 once and kept all the conversion pieces. Just would have to find the correct transmission, I know someone who has a couple spares :). While I was out driving the exhaust hanger broke, sounded beautiful. Next up is pulling the exhaust mani off, replacing and taking it to a shop for new pipes. Look under Transmission here or in NICO site. I have posted the complete British Borg Warner rebuild kit, and the breakdown of individual supplier kits needed to rebuild your transmission. 2 Quote Link to comment

Yes! One and only 411, and a RL411 at that! Mine. Nissan didn't show their last year's newly acquired RL411 the past year. It's a beauty but with a PL411 trunk lid device. Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
The RL411 and WRL411 have a unique exhaust system! In order to accomodate the modified Roadster engine, the exhaust pipe is routed through the left front fender. The first segment of the downpipe needs to have a deformed cross section. "D" rather than "O" cross section in order to allow proper Left Front tire clearance. If you need to replace the pipe from the manifold to the "pre muffler / resonator" the rusted out section is most likely to be the horizontal segment to the resonator. A good muffler shop can cut the horizontal section and weld in a replacement to the remains of the vertical "D" shaped pipe. Done that! 1 Quote Link to comment

Yeah, the guy selling those cars is a trusted seller. I actually bought my SSS from him, If i was closer I would buy the black one for parts. Or buy 2 and swap the roof onto the red car. I see hence the lower price Yeah the black one has rusted out pans and quarter panels, seized engine but mostly complete otherwise. The red car was from washington state, little rust but roof got dented pretty bad, might be able to straighten it out but the roof skins are so easy to swap its silly. Im sure prices are OBO.. Look into it! I know that red car came with piles of spare parts, Id love to get one of the spare manual transmissions... just because :) Quote Link to comment

reza
So when I get off work, I try to do little projects on the car, This week I'll be stripping the seats, I thought someone had completely redone them. Luckily for me they were just wrapped and what is under, so far looks very promising. Before reminds me of riding a school bus when I was a little kid. just need to use some rubbing alcohol to remove the upholstery glue residue, no rips or tears so far. Will throw up some more photos tonight, hopefully everything is similar condition. 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
That looks like the pleats on my seats, same color material as well. 1 Quote Link to comment
reza
They are not all this nice, front seat buckets are worn on the bottoms, back seat top is sun roached. and it takes much elbow work to get this upholstery spray glue off. Will have to make these work until I can budget new interior. 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
That is exactly like my front seats, same color and everything. Hope to see my back seat back have the same. My plan is to take mine to a local upholstery shop to have them duplicated. Thanks for the verification that mine are indeed stock. 1 Quote Link to comment

I will also have them duplicated when I go in for interior. 1 Quote Link to comment

reza
I'm going to use what I can off the car sell some parts, will park the complete shell and numbers matching engine block in one of my garages. throw a tarp over it and maybe in 15 years I'll have another fun project maybe a 2dr conversion, I have near 12-14 spare doors. I never throw anything 411 away. 2 Quote Link to comment

Did you spend some time checking it out? I didn't see the red car in person but from what I hear, it is in very good shape. other than the obvious/ windshield rubber/engine work/roof skin. I know he is flexible on price within reason. Might be able to get it for a grand. This black car Is pretty rough and with no title is destined to be a parts car. has been sitting for 30 years. I know the guy selling them and ended up working out a deal sight unseen, I figured with the price that I paid, I couldn't lose. Will be having a shipper get the car up here to me.
