710wagon
I searched the forums as well as Webber and cant seem to find an answer. I'm sure that this may be easy to some but I'm still learning about carbs. What is the open hole used for on the side of the carbs? It seems that I can see the fuel through these holes and it appears that it will be splashing out when I drive. Are these supposed to be plugged up? Thanks 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Might be for a fuel level sight glass? 1 Quote Link to comment
710wagon
When I looked them up, they all seem to have it. None of them had any glass or any difference to mine. Is this not common to others running side drafts? Quote Link to comment

scooter
Thats the fuel float bowl vent. If it splashes out alot you may want to lower your float level a little, mine splash out of there occaisionally.. Leave it open 2 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
And if you install a custom air filter with a backing plate, be sure to drill that hole or you may have problems. 1 Quote Link to comment
