crafty1
There's a clamp between the clutch cylinder and the brake that I'm trying to get off to remove the master clutch cylinder, but i don't want to unbolt that middle bolt and have it all fall apart if not needed. Anybody know a way to remove the clamp that's holding the two of them together without having that thing fall apart? or theres no other way in order to remove that cylinder? Or do I even need to remove that clamp at all and the master clutch cylinder would just "slide" off that? 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Not aware of any 'clamp'. The clutch master has two mounting bolts, a push rod connected to the clutch pedal by a clevis pin. All that's left is the hydraulic line. 2 Quote Link to comment
crafty1
I reposted the "clamp" in the middle -- I have to look at it again. Maybe its not even "conntected" too each other. its too dark to tell right now and my light is dying. 2 Quote Link to comment
difrangia
The two white plastic reservoirs are held onto each master individually by their own wire clap. The masters are not connected together, except being mounted on the same firewall. 3 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
its just 2 bolts. but beware . use a brake wrench on the brake line. Buy a wrench. I think a 11mm will work. also most masters are made in Taiwan and need the shaft shorten abit. put the nut on then cut the rod to length and take the nut off to clean the threads. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
.Where does it go? Through the inner fender? It's not part of the hydraulic system, if just a hose and hose clamp. 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
That is the fuel vapor return line from the valve on the inner fender well. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/56880-fuel-tank-venting/?do=findComment&comment=969573 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Yes! The flow guide valve. Nothing to do with the clutch master. 1 Quote Link to comment
crafty1
that middle bracket is nothing. it just the original clamp to the master brake cylinder. it was easy to replace the master clutch cylinder, just sucks to have to diy without anybody to help bleed the clutch.
