serum114
I've got a 32/36 installed in my 510 with an aftermarket pedal and cable set up. The cable works fine but I would like to switch over to use the factory linkage. My question is: what are people using for throttle levers? I don't see anything that weber makes that would work so I'm guessing custom or using the lever from a stock hitachi unit? Here is a screen shot from a video of a gentleman who appears to have the same setup: Part number 33 is the lever from the Hitachi Carb Below 1 Quote Link to comment

serum114
The linkage looks like this: The DGV throttle arm/lever looks like this: End of cable mounts to one one those holes. 1 Quote Link to comment
Doctor510
Bah Humbug! If you are going cable, use the 620 throttle sector. If you have the stock Hitachi from a 510, use the "U" shaped fitting from the carb. If the "U" fitting tilts too much for the stock hook, cut it and use a connector nut to locate it. If you need a picture, let me know, I have one in my computer. 1 Quote Link to comment

az_rat210
The Hitachi pulls via cable towards the passenger side of vehicle. The Weber 32/35 will pull towards the drivers side. I just used the lever from my hitachi and flipped it upside down cable could pull towards driver side. Used the Weber bracket to hold the cable. 1 Quote Link to comment

Stoffregen Motorsports
Wow! Most guys want a cable linkage because it eliminates the monkey-motion of the mechanical linkage rods. Are you sure you want to get rid of the cable? I wouldn't. 1 Quote Link to comment
az_rat210
NOT! BOTH carbs pull the same way. Weber 32/36 DVG DOH! you are correct. I flipped the hitachi lever so it pulls from left side so I had a way to mount the cable, since the weber does not have a built in cable mount like the hitachi. Either way, it works fine. 1 Quote Link to comment
