cjzeppy
Awaiting to hear how much it will cost to ship the section from Wayno's place to mine. 1 Quote Link to comment
wayno
I have been real busy lately, I will try to get a quote for you Friday or Saturday, I still have to cut it, and package it somehow, was putting up X-mas lights for customers today, cleaned a couple roofs Monday and Tuesday, turkey day tomorrow, and more X-mas lights Friday and Saturday. I will try to get it cut tomorrow, and then figure out how to box it for the quote. 1 Quote Link to comment
cjzeppy
Take your time I do not need it right away. I have lots to work on before I need to tackle the rough part of the frame rails. 1 Quote Link to comment
cjzeppy
Finished cleaning up the rear frame rails. Shackles had to be cut, and I also ground off the u-bolts to remove the axle. But I'm patiently waiting for Waynos frame section. My girlfriend also helped by descaling the bottom of the bed. 2 Quote Link to comment
cjzeppy
I've been working this week on the rear frame rail of the truck. Hoping that today I can have the welding portion finished and coated in Pur 15 rust prohibitor by the end of this year. I'll also include some pictures of the progress tonight. 1 Quote Link to comment
cjzeppy
Here's some pictures from today's progress. Left frame rail section is welded into place, along with a few patch panels. Just have a little bit left to weld before its finished. Also have the rear suspension, and rear axle cleaned and coated in a rust prohibitor. Still hoping to have the rear end back together and on its own wheels before I go back to work. I ran out of welding gas today, so I decided to also tear down the front end. I'll need to replace the front fenders since the front and rear corners are rotted. But that's lower on the todo list. 2 Quote Link to comment

cjzeppy
Thanks guys and yes it is cold here in the north east. It was in the 30s this past week, so I had to use my kerosine heater to keep things somewhat decent inside. I was looking at the front frame rails and I some rust spots I want to fix, so it looks like the cab will be coming off. 1 Quote Link to comment
cjzeppy
Can't believe its been almost two months since my last post. Things at work and the cold temperatures have kept me out of the garage. But I'm starting to make plans to get the ball rolling on the truck. I purchased some fenders from xlr8r and they should be arriving soon. I was also hoping for some shackles but his were damaged upon removing them. So it looks like I'll be making some custom shackles for the truck. 1 Quote Link to comment
cjzeppy
Finally found a set of fenders. They are not perfect, but they are an improvement to what I have. Also setting up a deal with way no to get some shackles. 2 Quote Link to comment
cjzeppy
Wayno sent me some shackles for the rear end, and they arrived today. Hoping to have them sandblasted and coated in pur15 before the weekend so I can assemble the truck. 1 Quote Link to comment
cjzeppy
Completely forgot to update the page last week. My rear suspension is finally assembled, and back on four wheels. Still need to fill the rear diff with new fluids, analyze and repair the brakes, and clean up the driveshaft. But my next focus is the cab floor and rockers/cab corners. 2 Quote Link to comment

cjzeppy
Been on a hiatus lately, and the truck hasn't been touched since April. Today I made good progress in attempting to remove the cab off of the frame. Removed the right fender, both doors, and the radiator. Along with that I cut out the windshield seal to pop that out, and also loosened the front two cab mounts. Only obstacle I found was the steering column, but I'm looking into what I can do to remove that without separating the linkage. Pictures should be up soon when I figure out how to send them from my GoPro to my phone. 2 Quote Link to comment
