Gatlin_210
I blew my diff, I was being a ass and decided I was going to take my wagon out for a late evening drift session , as you all will hate, 82 210 wagons were not made for drifting. I found this out., question is does anyone know where I can find one. ? What will fit instead ? Or if you have one laying around. Think the rears might be different in wagons but I'm no expert at all , its seperate coil ans shock , either rebuild my diff or swap the entire rear. help would be awesome. Thanks. ggzilla
The B310 was designed for drifting with RWD. Just do the normal drrfto things like skinny stretched tires. Get a good used center section from another 210. Quote Link to comment
Guest Rick-rat
Easy to fix, get another center section and get something else to beat :crying: Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Unless you aren't telling us everything and torqued it into the curb, all you need is this part. Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
Wagon = Family excursions like with a tent and the makings for "SMORES" in back. Or maybe an engine for the next rebuild. Drifting? Kidding, right? "To each there is their own" to quote the Good Book. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Charlie don't drift. 1 Quote Link to comment
EastBay521
my 521 doesn't really like to drift either.. Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
Your problems, not mine. Looking forward to your "parts for sale,no guarantee on suitability" postings. Or," pick up my rebuilding POS" posting. Quote Link to comment
Stupid_fast
If you don't know why you're blowing diffs drifting a Datsun wagon.Get a 240sx. Quote Link to comment
tr8er
s15 Drifting Against a Mini Van! HA This is what I'm envisioning. But cooler cause Datsun. Right? Quote Link to comment
Gatlin_210
Yes datzenmike, that's what I need , I didn't wreck or anything., just destroyed the gears. Where can i find that ? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Wrecking yards. Place an ad in our classifieds on Ratsun. Someone may have an H150? diff laying around. No rear end will survive one tire spinning for long and check the oil more often. Quote Link to comment
Stupid_fast
True solution get a bigger rear end... Ford 7.5 shortened is a nice option ... some toyota truck ? nissan ? GM? Stronger rear end if you're popping H150's. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Get a jeep rear end. Or an Isuzu P'up pickup rear. Quote Link to comment
Gatlin_210
Living on the east coast makes it hard for me also, there's barely any datsuns out here, I've checked all junk yards , etc. And are any of those a direct fit ? I know I will maybe have to take off mounts for the coil springs and weld them on the new rear but I wanted to stay 4x114, and not be crazy wide since I do have 15x8.5 with -25 et. MicroMachinery
Just weld it. It'll be fine. 1 Quote Link to comment
svo521
Just weld it. It'll be fine. roflmao!! Quote Link to comment
tr8er
Just weld it. It'll be fine. Those gears will never strip. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Define 'blew my rear end'. Maybe it's a U joint? The H-150 or whatever was in your car, is plenty strong enough if not abused. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Define 'abused'. Does it include belting 8.5" wide wheels and doing donuts? Quote Link to comment
Stupid_fast
Get a jeep rear end. Or an Isuzu P'up pickup rear. woo ! Yes! more options to look into. :) Quote Link to comment
Gatlin_210
I mean, I abused it, no doubt about it. I pulled my drain plug on the bottom of my diff, ans alot of metal came out. , the gear oil was gold and metallic, 3 bolt heads came out that look like a sark got a hold of them , and bracket looking things that look bent to hell Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Car doesn't like to drift? Or driver doesn't know how to drift? Quote Link to comment
