i got this with my nl320 and i guess the nl never had a mini spare. i hear that the roadster has a different bolt pattern. it looks old school. side says j 16x4t dot topy 12 15 87 3.5 40300 11?00 nissan.

Thats a Hardbody space saver spare. I had one on my HB when i 1st got it. Does the sidewall say maz speed 60 mph?

thanks pac, i'll check on the max 60. it looks like it should have been from the 60's the style i mean and not having any punched holes for saving weight like they do these days.

If you can find 3 more of them it may not be a bad look for your 320. Seeing as top speed goin down hill w/ a tailwind is 60 mph :lol: Maybe try & find a center cap to cover the lugs.

I have one of those, though not sure it's a Nissan one. Found it on the side of the road (but looks new). You can have it if you want it, Gatherer.

 

(Why the hell would a HB need a space saver spare? The spare goes under the bed!)

the holes are punched out for cooling effect, they help produce wind to cool the brakes, plus also lightening the wheel..:)

the L320s has a small spare in the back. it could be what it came from

i was hoping it was for a 320 but someone said it wasn't. i was wanting someone to look in their 320 owners manual to see if there was a pic of one.

Trust me, that's not a pre-1985 wheel. My L320 came with a full size bias ply tube tire spare on a wheel identical to the originals (the only original 320 wheel I have) and pretty much the same as wheels up to 1975. It's a Nissan pickup or Pathfinder compact spare from the late 80s or 1990s.

sounds right but doesn't look right. i'll take your word for it. i just wanted it to be vintage. wishful thinking. good to know though.
