Chrisdevasher
Well got my rims and tires on. Have had a vibe around 55 and up, I think it might be the slip yoke on the driveshaft so I might be going to a one piece shaft unless anyone has any input? I put the truck to stock ride height, still had vibe. I lowered it down and fixed the pinion angle, still has a vibe. The carrier bearing seems solid and doesn't have any play or movement so idk what else it could be. Any input would be appreciated. Anyways here's some pics! Quote Link to comment
DanielC
Get the wheels and tires spin balanced on the truck. Quote Link to comment
mrbigtanker
Get the wheels and tires spin balanced on the truck. why? Quote Link to comment
mrbigtanker
are those wheels hub centric or lug centric, also for shits and giggles does the hub hole fit over the hub of the drum so what ia m trying to say is do they fit flush against the drums and did you get the tires balanced. Are they used wheels, are they bent did you watch the guy balance them if your king pins are still solid and you have no play in the carrier bearing and it did not do it before then its got to be those cheap ass wheels. banzai510(hainz)
Im thinking stock wheels painted white with hubcaps. Gives it that classic look for the age of the vehicle. Some modern wheels just dont look right .unless TE37s or soemthing of that nature. 1 Quote Link to comment
Chrisdevasher
It did it before the new wheels and tires (and yes they're balanced) They sit flush against my wheel spacers, which are flush against my drums. Front left king pin has a little play but it still has a vibration even on jack stands. Quote Link to comment
Chrisdevasher
Well shimmed the carrier bearing today and that seemed to resolve the issue. Quote Link to comment
