Lowerering a 620--- rear leafs bent anybody ?

I have not seen this before maybe someone else has here ! all four bent, not sure if safe ? Not sure how I feel about it ,from a guy that de-arcs leafs in my press to lower cars a little too much for me ..

I have seen accidents that folded a leaf spring. I had mine re arched by repeated small bends in a press and it worked very well. I guess that would work but he could/should have taken the spring apart and flattened them all to get the same effect. Keep us posted if there is any problem with this.

while its not the "way" to lower a vehicle, thats the way they used to get low for free back in the day. 

 

put some new leaf packs in it if it worries you. 720 4x4 leafs are much flatter than the 620 pack, so that will get you like 3inches with a set of those.. if you wanna run drop blocks after that, you could to go as low as you want...

Here is my way two at a time and a six pack- cause it takes a little while ! and the truck got brought here cause another shop had it two years and lost harness injectors etc and has dee hee motor mounts on KA , so I am finishing for cust.[/]][

The 720 leaves are much stiffer and so will reduce bottoming on a lowered truck, always a good idea.

There will be a problem with this! The roll on the shackle is gone. Every-time the suspension travels up or down the movement will be taken on that bend just like bending a piece of wire back and forth eventually its going to snap.

Super bad idea.At that angle I'm sure there are micro cracks all over that bend......
