LAYEDOUTB2K
what type of fan are you runnin? if its a standard clutch type, i would look into getting a bigger electric fan. Quote Link to comment
Moisabamf
its direct drive, no clutch Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
its got the stock radiator in it right now Does it still have the fan shroud? This will increase the fan efficiency at low speeds and idle. Quote Link to comment
Moisabamf
yes it has a fan shroud Quote Link to comment
bonvo
sounds like the radiator thats what mine was doing when it started to go out then it got hot no matter what then i had a real problem Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
i get to about half on my temp gaugebut in traffic, it starts to get up That's normal for a Datsun 1200. As long as it doesn't get to the H mark, it is not dangerous. It can get close to the H mark without hurting anything. You can 'fix' it by fitting a slightly larger radiator (B210 or B310 radiator), but it is not needed. Quote Link to comment
Moisabamf
by comon to the 1200, do you mean A12? because im running A15 i want to make sure the engine will not heat up because i want to be able to take the car on long drives to shows and such (camby.....:D) Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
I mean Datsun 1200 -- no matter which engine you have in it. Should be OK on a long drive, as long as it never gets to the H mark. Quote Link to comment
