tr8er
Here's a damn fun cockpit ride on an electric. Wish he had a speedometer on screen. $4.3 million electric bike racing on public roads Quote Link to comment
q-tip
You think the guys running the isle of man now are nuts, the guys that ran it 40 years ago at almost the same speeds with 1/8 the safety gear and half the bike were nuts 2 Quote Link to comment
jvb5577
I meant the guys that do isle of man in general are crazy over two hundred have died doing this race. I would to be able to watch this race in person Quote Link to comment
mikeanike99
That's a fast bike Quote Link to comment
jvb5577
That feeling of going almost 200mph on a bike must be insane Quote Link to comment
EastBay521
the feeling when you finally get your 521 over 100mph is insane.those trucks weren't meant to go that fast Quote Link to comment
smoke
Once you get past 150, you don't really notice much difference all you're thinking about is if you crash, it's going to go on for like a year. Quote Link to comment
mikeanike99
If you crash you are certainly dead but if you live that's no luck that torture but if you live and walk away....HOLY CRAP! Quote Link to comment
RatVonDude
Its crazy, you can go on Craigslist and buy a bike that can do 220mph for under 10g. my gsxr will do 170, but not even nearly as fun as going 45mph through the canyons on my 440cc single piston bsa. Laguna seca is suicide on any two stroke over 500cc. 1 Quote Link to comment
paradime
Shit, Electric power is now. An electric bike won at pikes peak, by 20 second lead. The advantage is electric doesnt fade st altitude like an ICE. 2 Quote Link to comment
EastBay521
i dont know dick about bikes but i saw this last weekend when we did our fun run thought it was pretty bad ass Quote Link to comment
smoke
Ya know, even as a dopey kid, that whole top speed thing was never my bag. Not to say I have not wrung my share of stuff out when going across the desert, but it has always lacked "fun" to me. It's really just frightening. Yes, some of my drag stuff is a bit frightening, but that's all over in like 8 seconds. Quote Link to comment
RatVonDude
I was gonna post some electric Moto footage but it was too disturbing. The main difference between 750 two strokes and electric bikes is that your head will no longer land in the Budweiser line, but in some farmers kiddy pool the next town over. Quote Link to comment
EastBay521
Its just a rush...I never found it to be fun trying to race some one in a straight line for a block Quote Link to comment
smoke
Its just a rush...I never found it to be fun trying to race some one in a straight line for a block Not with 100 hp it's not fun. Try it with 1500, it gets more exciting. Quote Link to comment
paradime
I'm addicted to power and acceleration. Once it stop pulling my ass into the seat, I'm slowing down to do it again. Straight line, or back road I want power on dimand. Scary fat pulsating gobs of power! Shit I need a Kleenex 2 Quote Link to comment

And with your drag racing stuff you're IN something not on it, and that makes a big difference Quote Link to comment
smoke
Oh, I know, I drag race my bike too. Quote Link to comment
paradime
What's the scariest thing you've ever ridden, driven, or otherwise? Quote Link to comment
smoke
A helicopter I knew I was going to have to jump out of at a certain spot with no chute. BUT, as far as cars go, my sand drag jeep has gotten to the point of not being fun to me, but really just terrifying. Quote Link to comment
q-tip
What's the scariest thing you've ever ridden, driven, or otherwise? Getting a 500hp rat rod airborne at what was estimated at 120mph would be the one for me, no seat belts, no suspension, and no roof, helluva adrenaline rush though Quote Link to comment
paradime
Well Smoke I can help you with that irrational fear. Give it to me and I'll be terrified for you Quote Link to comment
smoke
I honestly would let you make a pass in it. Quote Link to comment
