LaidoutRivi63
I will try to take it on Saturday. It'll be a stretch though, as I'm still messing with the brake and gas lines. Quote Link to comment

LaidoutRivi63
The flare tool I rented from autozone has torn all 4 attempted flares I have made. Anyone have any suggestions? Am I doing it wrong? I'm running out of tubing length... Quote Link to comment
mrbigtanker
I have a cheap ass one and it works fine,i bought mine a few years back from PEPE boyz Quote Link to comment
Work280
Try heating the line up with propane old hot rod guy taught me that. Almost there right! Quote Link to comment
datsunwizard
With all the cars at your place, you should get a really good tool. It will save you frustation ! http://www.amazon.com/Mastercool-Universal-Hydraulic-Flaring-Tool/dp/B000W1X41Y Yes it's pricey, but it works really well. Quote Link to comment
LaidoutRivi63
Almost there! I don't have rear shocks yet though, so that is the last thing I will have to tackle. Trying to find a place locally I can buy 6" Bilstein circle track shocks. I have an idea of what valving I need. I know, I need a good flare tool, but we generally don't splice into brake systems, we just start from scratch, so there isn't a lot of use that comes up. Quote Link to comment
Creepy Cruiser
Are you using steel or stainless tubing? Quote Link to comment
troyt
Another good option for fabbing around a rear shock is the AFCO circle track shocks. Good shock for the $$, used them on my race wagon. Quote Link to comment
ktm
If you are flaring brake lines, spend $80 and buy the Rigid flaring tool from Grainger. Trust me. I had the cheapies and while I was luckily successful on most of my flares I had issues with 2 to 3 of them. Also, ditch the cheap brake lines and spend a little coin on the cupronickel lines. They flare so much easier, especially with the Rigid tool. Quote Link to comment
LaidoutRivi63
I was flaring the factory line to splice in the new rear line. Got it all taken care of but one of my calipers was junk. Quote Link to comment
