Jinba ittai roadster

Recommended Posts

Pretty much since the transmission in my roadster is trash (found chunks of gears in the oil lol) I decided to make a tube frame for it basing it off the miata front and rear subframes.

Here is an example of the subframes cut out. http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=496621

Just tearing down the miata.

Pretty much gives me a 5" wider stance IRS, we'll see how this goes once I get the body torn down. I've got the entire week of the 4th of july off, I'll be spending that time working on it and hopefully get the chassis done. I'm hanging onto most of the parts so I can use them on my 1.8L miata.

my goal is to have it drivable before the end of July, going to reinstall the turbo as well.

I'm thinking of making the whole front clip removable to make working on the engine easier in the future as well.

Saw this on 311s.org, I think I found my muse lol

Major thoughts on having power brakes since I have all the parts, its more to break but would make street driving this roadster easier.
