I did use it and kept a hammer with brass drift close by after compressing.... in case the tension needed to be released to pop the top.... just once lighty with ball pein or dead blow (no necro bro). Closest I could see to this unit (at a glance) was on Amazon.com (cheap tool though no name brand anything etc etc) 1 Quote Link to comment
I'm BLUE
Alright so #5 intake valve was deemed crap on the valve stem. The problem area was just below the retainer keeper edge = mushroomed.Even though it was not bent , and had free operation throughout it's range of lift/spinning.... the awful bugger wouldn't come out without a fight. I then wen't to my spare P79 head , and borrowed a few GOOD intake and exhaust valves (in case I need more , but not likely).(Spare head)001 by 71240z, on Flickr002 by 71240z, on Flickrborrowed valve looks excellent !003 by 71240z, on Flickr Quote Link to comment

I'm BLUE
shifting gears and moving in a slightly different direction...I pulled the camshaft and camshaft towers off to make sure all the alignment dowels were in place after a hunch. For the moment I'll plan on using a different head ( a spare ).001 by 71240z, on Flickr002 by 71240z, on Flickr Quote Link to comment
