OH SNAP! This is in my town! Now just need to get approval from B 0f A. Bank of Angela- my wife.

I'd offer him closer to $2000.  All that missing little stuff will ad up to about a $1000 or more.... and more....and more.

The best thing we ever did for our marriage is; We created a "Car fund" for me.  I just opened another checking account, and we put "X" amount in it, and that is My money for what ever I want to do with it.  No questions asked.

My favorite quote so far came from the above CL add for that white 510: "About 10,000 miles on rebuilt engine and trans , rebuilt about 12 years ago". Followed by: "I did start it twice a year and push on the brake and clutch pedals". Meaning: this car has been started twice per year since 2006, but hey.....total rebuild done in 2001!

Thats a great idea but the wife already put the kabosh on it when she saw the pictures.

Sometimes they can't see the diamond in the rough...

That is so true... I can see what it is possible because it is not completely together and it's not too late to change things and/ or add my own touches.

She sees a car in pieces and spending $3K on a car that can't be driven. She even thought the orange paint was rust.

Yeah I'm hating on that wheel / tire combo too...  probably an indication of any other work done on the car... such as the Datsun emblem on the fender being way too forward and what's up with that front bumper / fender matchup?  280Z ?

Those are your biggest concerns?  You glazed over the "with all original parts [...] V6 Engine".

I didn't follow the link before... comment was just from looking at the pic posted here (comment was in response to John McClain's post but not quoted properly).  But yeah, what you pointed out makes it even worse.
