Is it bad that I wasn't around during the 70's (born '85) but I've owned a lot of the cars you guys are talking about?

Because through all the years of owning American cars, Datsuns have always caught my eye. So, when I decided to build a fun little hot rod, Datsun was the only choice. Vegas, Pintos and Capris weren't even in the running. Celicas are though. And if I stumbled upon a vintage Mazda, I think I'd have to do it because.

because growing up my dad worked for nissan at the parts warehouse so parts were very cheap or sometimes free because they would scrap slightly dented fender or old stock speakers and sterios

sometimes even tires engine heads etc

 

dads dicount or free parts and working for Nissan pushed us to the datsuns
