space it out is the best way...... I am mounting two pusher fans behind the grill so making a little 3/8 spacer is easiest... then I use some door edge guard around the opening to seal the core support to the radiator...boom lifetime radiator success.....I need to finish my roadster over flow mod though.....not gonna have an temp issues now .... not that I ever did ...

spaced out radiator 3/8 of a inch.....thought about slotting so I could move it down a little .... but dont want the cap to be a pain off and on..... gonna have to cut some out of the core support for my dual pusher fans .....should still be hidden

It would be a good idea, the cap does sit close but far enough away from the hood.Post pics of your core support cut,im next.Looking good to more power here you come.

and to top it off I put the wrong pan on.... put a 620 pan on it and that's no bueno for steering safely...

got my radiator in and core support painted after trimming....fits nice and the fans look good as pushersu don't even see them behind the grillIMG_20130920_212827_zps1428c9b2.jpg

Heater box looks killer. And so do the fans. Not seeing the problem with the head. What am I overlooking?

Let me rephrase that. I can see pics by clicking on the links. But what I can't see is the problem you speak of with the head.
