No clue... Maybe they're feeding oil directly to the valve train.

Maybe they're engine just needed tits.

Its from Engineered To Slide (his s13) Site is worth checking out, he's building a drift Hilux from scratch. Tube frame and everything!

 

I've seen this done to a few SR/RB valve covers, it has something to do with the breathers in the valve cover and making them better/stronger. Not sure of the logic behind them, but the ETS guy has them on both of his SR motors.

That is some crazy work into that valve cover.

The fitting are for the oil/crank case breathers, when you race on any type of pavement drag,drift,road race all over flow fluids must drain into some type of can. these would fitting would go to something like this.

Catch can sure, but why build them into the valve cover, rather than using a separate can?

yeah catch can is all that makes sense but why the raised sections.....that's what throws me...

Probably raised so there can be a baffle inside. Don't know why the funny angle and extreme height, I'd think there'd be clearance issues.

I vote for baffled breathers that will go to a remote catch can. Not sure why there is two though, must be some serious stuff going on there.
