Hey guys

who would be interested in a new lip design for our trucks

me and my friend who owns a diffuser business might be

making a new front lip if enough people will buy it or would

be interested in ordering one on a group buy can make

a matching set of front and rear diffuser if interested

 

Anyone have any design ideas they would like to see

will not replace stock valence but will be a add on part

Thanks in advance cant wait to see whos interested

wtf would you do with a rear diffuser on a datsun truck? lol

 

front lips are one thing but diffusers are not exactly practical

 

 

you also havent posted an pics or any info on a potential design.

havent had a potential design yet i wanted to see if anyone was interested in the idea and if anyone had a design or style they like and i know some people track there truck and might want more of a race look or have a matching set of front and rear just a option if you want it not required

have you looked under the rear of a 620?

 

theres no way to fit a rear diffuser on one practically with the rear suspension and spare tire.

that an there completely non functional unless their mere inches from the ground and coupled with a belly pan.

no one knows if their interested if you dont propose at least a few rough sketches of a front lip proposal

thats not just like all the others that are available and let it develop from there.

 

dont get me wrong its great that you want to dabble in making some new pieces for dattos

but thats marketing 101.

for the sake of arguing I'm interested, what did you have in mind? something new i haven't seen could be cool but im not paying an arm and a leg for something to go on my 620 (why? cus its a truck to me) but something new and cool just before i send it off for paint intrigues me.

this is the style lip im working on to keep a old school feel

and working on another more race car design for people who do scca or track days

doesnt his replace the whole valence though and it wont be identical to the one pictured but im getting close to getting done and will be different then anything else on the market

no, its just a "chin spoiler" the valance stays original.

 

Some would say thats a downfall as they would like to get a strait valance in the deal as well.

the one im working wraps all the way to the fenders and covers the full width of the bumper and wont be brittle and break or crack

one, the majority of ratsun is broke, so the product would have to be economical.

 

2, even a rough pencil/paper sketch would be appreciated. ill add more to what i would like to see later

noticed the sites main selling point is that their splitters are made of aluminum

fiberglass with aluminum backing the fiberglass diffusers flex to much and dont work nearly as well as the lightweight aluminum ones
