hobbes_the_cat
I don't know much about these besides they came in forklifts but wikipedia said that they were used in some older Nissan cars like the Cedric and shared the same short block as the roadsters. Not sure if that is true though. I might be have a line a couple fresh crate motors if anyone might be interested. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I wonder if the pistons and rings are the same as used in cars? Totally different application. The SD diesel forklifts have different internal parts than the truck diesels. Quote Link to comment
wayno
I wonder if the pistons and rings are the same as used in cars? Totally different application. The SD diesel forklifts have different internal parts than the truck diesels. The only differance I could see was the pistons have 5 rings(2 sets of oil rings), and the ones I pulled out had 3 rings(1 set of oil rings), there was absolutely nothing else differant, not sure what the long term effect will be, but my next kit will be "auto" application for the SD25. So what issues you think there will be using a forklift rebuild kit? Quote Link to comment
hobbes_the_cat
Well I was doing a little research on the 311.org and some other places and it looks like these can be dropped into a roadster with a little parts swapping. It seams the forklift heads are not set up for higher revs and the may have lower compression. I kinda wish I had a roadster to test these things out on. Seams like a cool/cheap swap especially if you had a R16, step up to a 2 liter. Quote Link to comment

Gudge2
All. Sometimes grave digging threads works. I bought them (the two H20's--type 2) They are rebuilt, crate engines with installations gaskets. I still have one left. Let me know if any of you are interested. I'm in Seattle. Gudge2
Sorry Gentlement. I didn't get a notification there was a response. If there's anyone still out there looking for a Nissan H20 I have one. Type 2. Rebuilt for use as an industrial engine. Quote Link to comment
merlin
How much? I'm actually restoring my Cedric right now and the engine in it is somewhat unknown... And not numbers matching anyways... Quote Link to comment
