Kirden
For steelies I would go with a gunmetal. I used to like black steelies, but they are pretty dull. Something like this maybe: But the blue would be more fun :P Quote Link to comment
datson4life
Ohhh the gunmetal is interesting, thanks Quote Link to comment
Kirden
That one is actually windsor bronze. I think it'd be awesome with the orange paint. http://www.prismaticpowders.com/colors/PMB-1812/ Quote Link to comment

tr8er
Okay. This is actually a big decision so I'm going to give what I've got. Color plays a massive role in perception and can seriously impact the entire package. Some folks just hit it part out of luck, and part intuition (it just looks right). But if you don't have that in your head, and know just how it will look then you have a unique opportunity to learn. Take in a crash course in color theory via google. Tons of resources. You already have your base color to work off of, so this is easy. I always like split complimentary schemes. But it's got to be dead on ratios to look right. Straight complimentary colors just look too blunt to me. No soul. Also, don't neglect shade/tint. The base color orange in your case is a strong saturated color. Typically if all of your colors are this same level of saturation, your eyes will bug out and you will stop seeing truck and only color. I'd push these split comp colors into grays and whites (like blue-grey) This will tie them into your scheme, while letting them settle in. The best split comp schemes seem to have some small faction of the third color. Like one accent piece somewhere, while your second color takes on rims and bed cover and seats. Something like that. These are a couple sites that start into this and let you play a bit. Wish you could raid my books, but not likely. http://www.malanenewman.com/color_theory_color_wheel.html This one lets you play with split comp colors. http://www.malanenewman.com/color_wheel_split_complementary.html# http://www.tigercolor.com/color-lab/color-theory/color-theory-intro.htm Quote Link to comment
Z chopper
Im sendin wheels out tomorrow and haven't decided on a color go with Windsor Bronze or a creamy off white Quote Link to comment
tr8er
Here you see the split comp theme used by some designer in the headlights and the tint. Truly makes the Orange more aPeeling. Sorry. Bad joke, good theory in practice . 1 Quote Link to comment
tr8er
My vote is ready. Black rims. Then clear with blue flake on top. Should be subtle enough. Push some color but still honoring the fact that orange and black are like red and chrome. Perfect for each other. Quote Link to comment
datson4life
Too much orange and black will make it look like halloween, thanks for the input fellas, taking ur options into consideration, still searching tho, this gonna be a last minute decision lol, i was just gonna go with black, but after sleeping on it i says nevermind Quote Link to comment
Z chopper
I still say an off white will look best on the stockers Quote Link to comment
datson4life
Thats waht im thinking, off white, like tan, kinda Quote Link to comment
skyblue
I also think An off white would look good. I had flat black steelies with whitewalls and it was ok. But I would do them over in some white. It looks more interesting and vintage. Quote Link to comment
Z chopper
Thats waht im thinking, off white, like tan, kinda more off white with a hint of yellow/orange Quote Link to comment
