q-tip
Friend of my dads had a 69 roadrunner with a 1400hp hemi in it that he street drove, with drum brakes. Asked how he stopped at a yellow light, "that's what the chutes are for!" Quote Link to comment
smoke
Yeah, I see those guys in "drag week" taking that 3000 plus hp stuff on a pretty long road trip, that is nutty. You would not happen to have a picture of that roadrunner would you? Quote Link to comment
maltese
Kick ass, smoke! Quote Link to comment
q-tip
I don't, it went away a long time ago. The guy bought Ed Ruth's whole garage when he retired, detuned the engine out of his rail and ground up build that roadrunner to put it in, tubbed it out, narrowed the rear end, all of that in his garage in the 80's Quote Link to comment
smoke
No biggy, I just always like seeing that kinda stuff. Quote Link to comment
q-tip
That car was something else, hell, Eddie was something else, guy got bored and put a blown 392 hemi in a flat bottom jet boat Quote Link to comment

smoke
Oh that is good. I personally would have went with stock steel wheels, painted Wimbledon white, with no caps on that, but that's an each to their own kinda deal. Quote Link to comment
datrod
If it shows up again I'll try to get a pic of the wheels. They were pretty cool. Had a vintage look to them. Quote Link to comment
smoke
I'm not turned off by them, I think they may be just a bit big (tall) for my own preference. Those have to be at least a 18 right? Quote Link to comment
q-tip
They look like huge corvette rally wheels to me Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
Seen this. Talked to the dude who owned it. He says "yeah, my grandma bought it new and I got it from her like 9 years ago"... Then he says, "it's not 100% original, the 20R blew up so I put a new motor in it"... 4 Quote Link to comment
