metalmonkey47
Out of curiosity, how big of a difference did it make?? Quote Link to comment
wayno
Out of curiosity, how big of a difference did it make?? I didn't think they worked any better(stop faster or easier), but they don't get hot as fast(brakes last longer before fading) going down hills loaded/over loaded, like I have a habit of doing.  Quote Link to comment
dscottdatsun
Finally got to finish bleeding the new brakes and take it for a little brake in (pun intended). It felt quite a bit better. It still feels a little bit soft but, I will bleed them again tomorrow. Question: Could the softness be from the stock MC not be large enough for the double piston caliper? This is the first third of my brake upgrade. Next up are the 15/16 MC and rear discs. Just need a bracket to mount the rear caliper. I just sent a pm to beebani hoping he is still selling it. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Your current MC was made for a disc/drum set-up. Reasons for softness could vary between air still in the system, leaking MC, bad booster or misadjuatment on the pedal pushrod. Bleed again, in order. See what happens. LF RF RR LR. datzenmike
The master is smaller than it should be. The D-21s were 15/16" minimum and some were 1" Yours is 13/16" Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
That too. Its crazy how much of a difference an eighth of an inch makes. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
It's not just 1/8" in dia, it's the additional volume added by that 1/8 X the length of the bore. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Rims clear the calipers? If when bled the peddle travel is too much you may need to go to a 15/16 zx master. Maybe, not sayin'. They sure look nice!! Quote Link to comment
dscottdatsun
other mods necessary? Yea. It requires a balljoint front suspension, and hardbody spindles swapped in. I used the stock hubs and bolted the hardbody rotors to them. Rims clear the calipers? If when bled the peddle travel is too much you may need to go to a 15/16 zx master. Maybe, not sayin'. They sure look nice!! The stock rims fit same as before. Tryin' to get the other projects out of the shop so I can get the rest of the swap/upgrade done. Thanks, they work well too.
