620 Tail Light Housing Paint

Ok, so i am reconditioning a set of tail light housings. I am trying to make them as original as possible when i do it. I have seen them in silver, a dark grey, this funky gold(which the ones I am workin with currently are)

 

My question is, do any of you know what color they should be for a 73'? If so can you give me paint codes, or possibly where i can get some?

For a 620? Paint them to match the rest of the truck.

well the truck will be cherry red, so i think it will just look odd. i like the colors i listed that i have seen. color matched housings look weird too me.

I was gonna say, for cherry red, gloss black or white would look neat.

Silver Mettalic

Originally a silver metallic, not too metallic, and not chrome. Not glossy, or even shiny really.

id call it a flat grey, kinda...... Hard for me to tell tho since my truck is older than me :rofl:

I paint mine with silver. Then put a clear coat over that. It tones it down a little.

Eastwood aluma blast would work.

I've seen them in every color. Black,white,body color. Whatever you like,it's your truck.

 

Chrome looks really good :wub:
