Jack up the front end & explore (visually & physically). You may also want to jack up the car and then put a second jack under either front wheel to put a little weight on the suspension, since sometimes suspension joints will feel tight at full droop and normal compression, but not somewhere inbetween.

I have all of the above problems on my daily driver. Cheap lowering springs on stock from 1973 front struts = lots of noise over bumps. Before installed the RCA/bump steer spaces and bring the LCA down I was getting contact with the sway bar and frame rails as well.

 

Was it lowered? Strut could be bottoming out. Spring could be bottoming out.

 

Strut may be empty and there is little to no damping.

 

Loose sway bar?
