420n620
Radical tire design by Michelin. The next generation of tires. They had a set demonstrated at the Philadelphia car show. These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon. The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these tires. Just think of the impact on existing technology: A. no more air valves... B. no more air compressors at gas stations... C. no more repair kits... D. no more flats...or the need to carry a spare... These photos were taken at the South Carolina plant of Michelin. I wonder if they will come out with white walls or raise white letters. Quote Link to comment
bonvo
the pics dont work and yeah they will have an effect on the stuff listed but think about how much there gonna cost Quote Link to comment
fiveNdime
The tires your talking about If there the ones have like a honey comb mesh of composite between the rubber and hub mounting surface. They are sweet but they have been out for quite some time. They also work good in construction use because they provide suspension and no flats...good for bobcats... Quote Link to comment
nismopu
did they finally set a release date because this shit was out like 10 years ago. They never gave a date when it was to be DOT approved. Quote Link to comment
motavated
Why wont you use something like skate board wheels... probably not enough grip... Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Skateboard wheels have plenty of grip, but no sidewall flex. Talk about a rough ride. Quote Link to comment
