Charlie69
Does anyone know what bolt size is used to remove rear brake drums on 320, 520, 521, 620, & 720 pickups? Quote Link to comment
wayno
The 720 rear drums use the 12mm headed bolt like a L20b water pump bolt, as for the 320/520/521, I don't beleave they have the hole for removing the drums like the 720, you just have to pound the shit out of them until they come loose, be aware that you can break the drum pounding on it, as I have broken a few trying to get them off. Charlie69
Thank you Wayno. I put a light coat of never seize on the axle flange before installing the drum. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
I think it is an M8 bolt (which could have a 12mm hex head) for the 620. But doesn't the 320 and 520 use imperial bolts? It would probably be 1/4" bolt. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
M8x1.25 thread size for the 620. May be different on your 520. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
If you can get the drum off I put threaded holes to remove the drum next time Quote Link to comment

Well in Battle Mountain NV guess what size bolt is not available M8x1.25 thread size. So I did a 5/16x20 NC and forced it in there took about 2 hours to pull the 2 drums.Metal Monkey is correct for the 720 also. Yhank you for the help. Quote Link to comment
