I get about one day a week to work on it as it's at a buddies house about 70 miles away..lol. I actually got this in trade for my 280zx minus the motor and trans...and wheels, so it was basically the body and interior of the Z for the truck. It's got a locked up motor, no brake or clutch pedal to speak of, and could use some floor surgery. Other than that, it's in pretty decent shape. I'll try and get some pics next time I'm down there so you can get a better overview of the truck and see what I'm doing. The plan is for pretty much no bodywork on it other than the front valance, and to make the engine and interior as nice as possible. Will definitely be lowered some...nothing too radical, just a good stance. Gonna yank the locked up L16 and find an L20 and 5 speed probably out of a 620 as I know where there are a couple in a salvage yard. I've got all the gauges and misc. stuff from the v8 Z so they'll probably find a home in the truck. Anyway, more updates to follow. I'll probably get the motor pulled next week and then start cleaning the engine compartment and getting it ready for the "to be found" powertrain. Quote Link to comment
