Picked up my first Datsun

Picked up my first datsun yesterday. Pretty excited to start working on it. I'll keep you guys updated as i start making progress.

haha i just can't decide if i wanna leave it rat style or restore and repaint the rust

Seems like mostly everything works just needs some tlc,

It's definitely nice having the inline 6 but i think i'll be putting a new heart in it soon(RB or SR possibly), and a 5 speed. Just gonna have to take an in-depth look at clutch pedal/pedal assembly

Pretty close to what i had in mind actually, different wheels though. Definitely like the panasports though

i found one of these in the junkyard its in really good shape i fell in love with it as soon as i saw it but already have a 510 no space good luck with the project

Well just to keep it interesting, here's the '78 I just bought. Picking it up tomorrow.

 

No dents, nice paint

 

No rust, nice wheels.

 

How about this cherry interior?

 

I'll start my thread as soon as I get it home and take some pics. This would make an awesome RB26/AWD conversion.

sandman, way cool Wagon! I assume they made manual trans 810's (??), so hopefully you can find the pedal set, but I would expect hard to find! The automatic 510's already had the pivot points & all for the clutch pedal, the pedal simply wasn't installed...........maybe the 810's were the same way? Great project!!
