I'll be updating this thread as my car changes, but I'll throw out a comment now: I work on my car when I can.. but I definitely don't consider myself a mechanic and plan on a lot of the heavy lifting being done by shops. Not to mention my my living situation doesn't lend itself well to carwork. In the past I've definitely been guilty of being a "dreamer" when it comes to cars. Now that I'm getting a bit older, I'm hoping that I'll follow through with all my plans. Anyways, I bought the car about 5-6 months ago and here's where I've gotten it to so far: 1971 Datsun 240z Rebuilt L28 & 5spd BRE style rear wing Tokico Springs Custom Exhaust from the previous owner F&R Strut Bars 15x8 -0 Enkie 92s Quote Link to comment

I pulled it off the list. ;) The BRE style lip is sitting at my parents house.. so it won't be on the car for a little while... or possibly ever. Still not completely sure what style I'm going with. Some parts waiting to go on: I'll have some parts for sale soon: 280zx "Swatsika" Wheels - All 4, with usable tires mounted 240z door panels in good shape BRE style rear wing Let me know if you're interested. I was trying to decide between the two.. but I'm a huge fan of the deep dish look.. and sometimes the lip gets lost on black wats (the only color I would get). Yours look so awesome though. I'm trying not to have any regrets. ;) This is going to be bad ass haha and you are in SF? Id be willing to drive there to get that wing when you sell it :) The wing may be spoken for already. That guy in Oakland is running 10s on just rolled fenders, so I'm guessing 9s will work fine. 9.5s might need some pulled fenders.. no? im gonna run stock to, i love flares but everybody's doing them now.
