mr928
So I removed the vinyl floor covering as suggested and this is what I found. Not terrible but I'm guessing I should do something to stop the progression but what? I don't want to get crazy painting as I like how original the truck is. Quote Link to comment

DanielC
That is beautiful. This is not I am not a big fan of por15. I suggest you remove all the rust you can, by sanding, then painting with a good epoxy primer, and then an automotive paint. Once rust starts in steel, it want to feed itself. You have to remove it. If you still have the plastic floor mats, you have to pull them out, and clean under them. Dirt gets under them, and grinds the paint off the floor. Water also gets under there, and with the dirt makes a grinding compound. The plastic prevents the water from evaporating, and the rust gets going. Quote Link to comment
