Agent-Gambit
do any 510 datsun headers fit on the l16 -l20 engines or do u need one specific for each engine? 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The L18 is identical to the L16. The L20B head sits 2 cm (3/4") taller so the header may sit that much higher under the floorboards. You may be able to get away with oval-ing the motor mount holes and get the block to sit slightly lower. Or it may fit. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Headers will not fit a Datsun, or any 4 cyl. 1 Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
It also depends on the type of head used. All stock L16s and L18s used square-port heads, but L20Bs used both square and round port heads. You really don't want to run round-port headers on a square-port head. Quote Link to comment
Uncle Laulau
Headers will not fit a Datsun, or any 4 cyl. I really hope one day you can come out of your shell and share your true feelings. ha ha (old school for lol) Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
run the stock exhaust manifold.the non emmission one w/o air injection. if you jus got to run a header I say get a short tube. if you have a long tube and a L20 might hit the floor. unless its a L20 specific. datzenmike
run the stock exhaust manifold.the non emmission one w/o air injection. You won't notice a difference. The stock manifold is just as effective, quieter, lasts forever, fits, doesn't leak, already paid for. You'll get more from a turbo muffler and slightly larger pipe, and I mean slightly larger like no more than 2". . Quote Link to comment
