metalmonkey47
I've seen a few people talk about it, but not thread with specific information. I'm pulling the transmission in my 210, and I want to get a bushing in the shifter (PO removed it for some reason). I'm curious about what you guys have used in place of that. PIX in a moment. ptown green
I just took my shifter and the pin that goes in it to the local hardware store and looked through their brass bushings. The best one they had was slightly too big OD so I just drilled the hole in the shifter a hair bigger and pressed it in. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
the 2 side round bushings at least for the 200sx trans shifter think they fit Z cars maybe the 210 I got from Schucks/O rileys in the "HELP" assortemtn fittings I have 2 numbers 38374 or 38377 one has a bunch the other is one set Chrysler door bushings I had to oversize the hole just a tad Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
They are easy to replace, even with the transmission in the car. Nissan 32855-H1010 - manual transmission. The original part number was 32855-24900 These bushings fit: •1967-1970 B10 •1971-1973 B110 •1974-1978 B210 •1969-1973 510 •1977-1980 810 •1973-1979 620 •1980-1985 720 •1977-1983 200SX •1969-1973 Patrol Quote Link to comment

Pressed em in with my vise and drilled the little brass fuckers to match the bolt Found some real nasty shit while I has the tranny out though Updating the build thread in a few minuets Quote Link to comment

metalmonkey47
part number would be good I'll update with the P/N in the morning. Don't have the paperwork around me. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Yea, I grab the assortment door bushings from autozone. I used a set that were too large. Cut a relief in them, and smacked them in with a hammer. Took my dremmel and did a quick sanding on the inside. Pin had a nice fit then. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
P/N is 38410 and can be found at most autoparts stores in the 'Help' section for roughly $6.99 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
That's about what the Nissan bushings cost, you get five or 10 for $7.56 or something like that. Comes in a bag of 5 or 10. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
They are are plastic, they last about 10 years and cut down on vibrations. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
I probably will drop by the dealer tomorrow and ask about them. I just wanted to get it done since I was already stopping by Autozone for some brake parts cleaner. Quote Link to comment
Trophy24
Found some brass ones on eBay that worked great. Perfect fit without having to "customize". I think they were less than $10 Quote Link to comment

And the shoulders on the bushings take up the lateral play. But you might just go with the oem nissan ones... Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
The NISMO catalog listed solid metal shift bushings for most transmissions. See if your Dealer remembers what NISMO means. Quote Link to comment
