Anyone Owned a 1st gen Talon/Eclipse/Laser?

I need a run around car. There is a 94 Talon. Cant find a datsun to drive while I put some real work in my 521.

 

Its the base model, 1.8.

 

800 clams is his bottom...I offered 675.

 

It ran okay but needs a slave or a good bleeding.

 

Think 800 is too much???

 

okay on the outside, kinda rough on the inside.

I dont think its too much. Try finding a running car for under 1k... Plus these engine are bullet proof. I would change the timing belt to be on the safe side if you do get it.

Around here, and not to far from you, you would be hard pressed to find anything running for under a grand. There is just no used cars for less than $1500 these days. Just be careful if you need to pass emissions in your area.

We built up an AWD turbo version to just under 500hp a bunch of years ago. Cool car, pretty easy to work on, lots of parts available, and like motavated said, pretty bulletproof.

maybe I should get it...my truck needs some time....i just want HEAT and windows and exhaust that goes out the back and brakes and the carb crap fixed...
