MicroMachinery Posted August 13, 2010 Report Share Posted August 13, 2010 I have this 88 200sx SE that I had originally bought to harvest the VG30 for my 510 wagon. After getting the car, I found that it was in actually pretty reasonable shape. Engine runs great, tranny shifts well, AC works/Heater too, headlights, CD player, etc.. pretty much, I had a crisis of thought and imagined it a crime to take this car apart. I am thinning out alot of my collection, and this is one that needs to go. A good daily, or whatever. Pull it apart if you want, but I have a problem ripping apart perfectly good cars. Cosmetically, not the shiniest gem, but mechanically sound. If you are looking for something to daily, or just plain hunting for the rare 200sx version of the VG30(Intake, exhaust manifolds, etc..), you can drive your swap away(I have straight replacement fenders for it, too). Looking to get $750 for it. Can't beat that for a good runner. She's fast, to boot! Some may frown at the fact that it has an automatic, but the L4N71B has a taller OD gear than that of the 5spd, so on the highway you're pretty much idling down the road around 65mph. I noticed he posted it on craigslist and wanted 550 not running. I went and offered 400... he said 450... i said cool. I told him id be back in 3 days with the cash.He said cool. Go back 3 days later to find out the guy sold it for 350 the day before!!! I was so pissed! I wanted to vanish him :angry: Worst of all the car ran fine, the starter was just acting up. Anyway for whoever buys the car make sure they keep it complete because there was only 5000 made for 87/88 each year for a total of 10k ever. If you havent already, post it on the Club s12 forums im sure it'll get the attention. glws. Link to comment

I'll check it out. no prob. recently there has been a rainstorm of SEs coming out of nowhere and the guys at club s12 are trying to save as many as they can. if you sell it to one of the guys there, its definitely going to a good home. the only problem, as with many forums, the guys there are low on cash due to their ongoing projects.
