CARSnTRAINS
The original seats in my 'Goon are getting pretty tired. I'm sure there are 50 differant seats that others have installed, but which donor-cars seats are the easiest? Quote Link to comment
Pumpkn210
Measure the width of the tracks and go to the junkyard  Welcome to Ratsun! Quote Link to comment
Stupid_fast
I've got some from an acura integra and they are bolt-on. Not sure what year or exact model they came from sine I got them with the car. Quote Link to comment
rzrdisco
These are from a '87 200sx. Look pretty cool if you ask me (or at least decent). They're actually pretty comfy too, they compress and aren't stiff. Not sure how they bolt up though, I decided not to take them. Quote Link to comment
Spades
actually, I would kind of like to know myself...I don't want to spend allot of time fab'ing seat brackets since there are so many other things on my car that need time and work, so if there are seats that are close to drop in, that would be some handy info... The Dat-side
I've heard of prelude seats, don't know how easy they are to get in. I've seen some with 240z seats also don't know about the instalation. Spades, there are some nice looking seats on CL that were once in a 510. $150 tho. Quote Link to comment

hobbes_the_cat
I put late 70's celica seats in my first 510. way more comfortable than stock and only minor mods to make em fit. and the stock vinyl looked verysimilar to the datsun interior too. ;) Quote Link to comment
qwik510
I got a set of nice leather seats from an Acura RSX. They are a bolt in with minor tweaking. See this thread for more info and pics. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/15030-installing-acura-rsx-seats-into-my-510/page__p__202886__hl__%2Brsx+%2Bseats__fromsearch__1#entry202886 Quote Link to comment
Spades
what would be nifty is a list of seats people have found from the wrecking yard that bolt in without allot of work, I am sure there are more people than just myself who would like to have a list when they head to their local junkyard. yeah Datside, that is a bit too much for me right at the moment. Several of my friends have purchased front and rear seats for their various cars out of the local wrecking yard for $40-$75 for a whole set in good condition, and as little as $30 for two front seats...I will probably look into that first :) Quote Link to comment

Even if they're cheap, it's still spending money on something that might get stuck in your garage for a while, and seats take up space! Quote Link to comment

freekwonder
I've got Tiburon GT seats. I think I found somebody on here that had them already and gave them a try. Had to make a new rear mounts and just pounded the front mounts flat. Quote Link to comment

Had to make a new rear mounts and just pounded the front mounts flat. Might have been my post, it's what I have in mine and I posted them a while ago so add my vote to the Tiburon seats. They are really nice and don't carry the premium that Acura seats probably will. I think I paid like $150 - $200 for the fronts and back, it's been a while. Quote Link to comment
Loren
i put some old z seats in my old 71wagon. they were pretty easy to put in and looked pretty much like they belonged there. just swap the z seat mounts out and bolt on the old 510 ones. then reposition them in the car and drill and necessary holes in the front support and the floor at the rear(i think i only had to drill new holes for 1 side of each seat, but place them however they're comfortable from side to side for elbow room near the doors). if the need recovered that's fine, you can order replacement covers, and probably have the fronts and rear seat made in matching vinyl pattern for a factory look.
