When you swapped your 510 did you eliminate your evaperation tank in the trunk ?

I got rid of mine but I noticed when I pull the cap off there is a lot of suction . There is so much suction te tank makes a thump nois when you pull the cap off

mine doesnt make a swoosh noise anymore. it just probably vents into the cabin.

on some of the Z's if you take the evap tank out of the back the tanks will collapse.

when you remove the vent line your tank can suck its self in and crack.

When I did mine, I just cleaned it up and put it back in with all new lines.

and its back in. So do the 68/69 have a vented cap?

My 69 didn't have a vented cap, it just had a 1/4" hose that vented out the top of the tank and went through the floor and dumped under the car, lol. That's why I put a 71 evap can back there.
