yellowdatsun
Looks like it was wrapped with heat wrap, judging by the flaking of the metal. Is this correct? Quote Link to comment
Skib
Just glad I could help everyone out Helped us out alot  thanks man Looks like it was wrapped with heat wrap, judging by the flaking of the metal. Is this correct? maybe at some point in its life but not as long as we've owned it (2 years) Quote Link to comment
yellowdatsun
Yeh you can tell by how the cast iron is flaking off. People like using that stuff, but it's *horrible* for the metal. Keeping the heat in actually crystallizes the metal, making it really brittle. Had it happen to a set of headers years ago, and I'll never use it again. Quote Link to comment
