so i have a 1970 510 wagon..! WWAHHOOO :D

Im third owner (and very proud of it)

first one was and old asin dude, took care of it forever , then second was my buddy who moral of the story crashed it !!! ahhh

here we are my buddy crashed it and jus forgot abot it fer a year and so the other day he said he had to get it out of his yard . the few options he had was a. tow it for free(donate) or b. trade it for a POS honda or C. sell it to me ahah so i talked him in to selling it to me ! i got it for $510 .

Im asking if any body can advise me in my journy to the datsun world

The main prob at hand is the front right end.

"BODY DAMAGE"

1. Frame bent (the arm that holds the motor mount )

2. inner wheel well

3.top frame arm

the frame sits at a lean cause of the bend

plz let me kno if i can do sumthing bout ths car

as far as motor and trans. evry things great condition thas why i bought it . i fig. i can find parts of the front or an entire front end that nobody will miss .

i can cut and weld wuteva need be. so if sombody has any strong frame clips or body parts let me know

but he put a bunch of goodies in it so..

this is whats worth the $510 to me right now

. l20b from a 1977 710 (100% re machined)

. 280z tranz ithink? 5peed w/dog leg

. brand new front and back racing shock/struts

. brand new rims and tires both with maby 300 miles on them

i really want this car to come thru , so i know what i put into it is what ill get ot of it.

i want to post pics but still un sure??:o

Alright...pics are comin...thats the first thing!

The welding will be of the highest quality and reinforced right?

I mean, cause the front suspension is no place for novice beads and lack of structure.

Be patient man..the fine folks here on Ratsun will be all over this like no ones business. Any questions you got...someone here has already done it or something like it. Except for Bob3...he has no experience with any suspension work or frame mods...

But really...you are in good company. Welcome aboard man...It sounds like you got yourself a great starting spot for a great little goon.

So i have sum pics up.

luckly im very patient and a bit catious so ..

im not worried about extra weight (steel reinforcement ) if it needs it, it gets it to insure the safty of the driver and passengers.

i myself am not a welder but i have some resources.. that are skilled

ive looked into bringing it to a certified shop but all i could come up with is I WANT TO DO IT lol

live and learn not give others my expirence unless shared , anyways

hope this helps ..

also ther are some things that need to be replaced for the motor and they are on the way.

i.e. radiator , alternator ,batt, fan blade,belt

,oil filter, fuel pump,dist cap.

oil change (kinda smells like the oil is decomposing) not quite like gas .

but same concepet like 2 month old apple juice smells like beer

haha

altho it has been sitting im hoping that the seals are not dried out

jesus christ

you have 2 options one includes welding one doesnt

1) find a front clip at a swap meet cut the spot welds and weld on new clip

2) find a straight chassis and use this one as a parts car
