NSRz32
Since I get lots of quetions about them and how they fit on 521's here's some info on my wheel and tire setup. Wheels : Western Turbine 15x10 -64 offset Tires : 225/50/15 Fenders rolled and pulled with ZG fender flares. No cutting performed. 3" drop blocks in the rear, torsion bars cranked down and indexed up front. The wheels weren't exactly pretty when I picked them up, but I found them on craigslist and got the 4 of them for like $75 if I remember right. They had been on an old lifted blazer with mud tires on them. The guy laughed when I told him they were going on a Datsun. First test fit Starting to paint them A little more indepth fitment checks All finished up and ready for tires On the truck Edited December 13, 2009 by NSRz32 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
http://forum.ratsun.net/showthread.php?t=1825&highlight=stretched+tires Nice rims. Perhaps a bit wide for the tires. Are you thinking of wider tires later? Do you have a picture from outside the truck with them on? Quote Link to comment
Sudo
thanks for posting this Jerry. It's easier to copy your stuff when you keep it all in one place for me! got mine on CL last week for $80. Did a test fit, realized stock lug nuts dont fit. so I'll have to figure out my nut situation. PLUS, I'm switching the 520 front suspension out for one off of a 620- so, different lug nut sizes? I'm guessin?. -Steve Quote Link to comment

NSRz32
Agreed. You're gonna need a longer shank than that to fit the turbines up though. I got mine from Gorilla, they have a short, a medium, and a long shank. Go with the medium with the one washer (to fit the indent in the wheels). Quote Link to comment

That's one of my favorite pics of the truck. My fiance stuck her arm out the window with the camera and snapped the pic. It turned out amazingly good! :D Quote Link to comment

Sudo
you gonna need shanked lug nuts boy that sounds painful!!! Thanks Bonvo. Agreed. Go with the medium with the one washer (to fit the indent in the wheels). in for an ounce, in for a pound: might as well copy verbatim and get the gorillas too. . Funny: the guy I bought my wheels from had them on an old lifted blazer 4x4 too. eerie. Thanks Jerry. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... then don't let my truck go to your head. :D -Steve Edited December 14, 2009 by Sudo they do have pics.. Quote Link to comment
Sudo
[/img]12x1.25 for all dattos bah!, not to disagree here, maybe its too early and I should keep my mouth shut, since wheels, tires, offsets, camber, et.al; have me pretty much baffled.... http://www.whtknight.com/2009-05-18%20applicationB.pdf "NISSAN (DATSUN) ALL ( Except Below ) 1972-On 12mm x 1.25 1600, 2000 1965-1971 7/16"" Of course the helpful guys at ORielys told me 7/16x20 for my truck... Quote Link to comment

Sudo
...powdercoaters LOST 2 of my wheels.... so I need some details if anyone knows more about these wheels: Western Turbines 15x10 wiht -64 offset what is the bolt pattern size 4.75"? thx Quote Link to comment
Gensaiken
nice thread. I have some cool rims i'd love to throw on a truck but figured they wouldn't work. Just a question, how much rubbing did you get at full turn? Sorry to hear you lost two wheels. I think some one is selling a similar turbine truck wheels in the parts for sale section? Dunno the offset or width. Quote Link to comment
NSRz32
Gensaiken....I get no rubbing at full turn. No spacers, stock studs. Quote Link to comment
7thskyline
Ok, thread from the dead.... I'm looking at a 520, and pro-comp steel wheels. Would rather not have to run flares, however rolled lips, stretched tyres, no problemo. So sizes available... 15x8" -50 15x8" -19 15x8" 0 15x8" +6 Outside chance - 15x10" -44 (rear perhaps?)? I'm thinking from my calculations 15x8" -19 will sit about 70mm inward of your Turbines which seems like it would be reasonably flush with the stock body, perhaps would the 8" -50s fit in the rear? or would it be best to just rock -19 all round? In my minds eye I'd like to just tuck tread in front (or slightly higher if it pokes) and probably a little higher in the rear, likely run a 195/45 or 195/50 on 8" rims and a 215 if 10s would fit. jmspep
So any part number on the lug nuts by chance? I got the same wheels of CL for $70 and used the cleaner and they look amazing. its just that the studs on the front of the truck are shorter than the rear. im thinking that since I work at parts store I can just get the same lugs that are on the rear and pop them in on the front eh?? Keep in mind I have a 720, don't think it may matter though. Maybe a Dorman number preferably? thanks!! Quote Link to comment
