datzenmike
There were two made in 86mm size for the stock z and zx. One was almost 11cc dish and the other was a flattop. Both have the same pin height as the 4 cyl. L series motors. Link to comment

freaky510
flattop is too high comp in a l20. Ok in L18. what??? to high for a L20 now iam really confused Thank you Hainz, can you verify what years they came in? L28 (late)------------ 38.1mm /0.0cc Flatop in '81-'83 ZX / 86mm bore Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
Freaky stock L20 pistons were 11.35 cc if remeber right. so by putting a Zero dish piston in there is going to put comp up to 11 to 1 or very close to it.11cc of volume removed is ALOT!!!!!!!! Most gas stations are 91octane around here. If running race or avgas then fine otherwise your looking for proplems and esp on a open chambered head as they detonate EZer than a closed chamber head.for a daily driven car is not practicle L20s has that extra stroke and notice its a taller block. All the Z car blocks have the same height L24-L28. so the variations on rod/crank lenght isnt all that much until the later l20 and Z series blocks came out. 81-83 non turbo are flattops 86mm is STD size on these motors 81-83 Turbo are 10.9cc this is all from memory unless soembody else has the info Edited November 17, 2009 by banzai510(hainz) Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
I cant confirm that the 75-80 are flattops I know for sure that the 81-83 non turbo are flattops all else fail order these 86mm flattops 12010-P8612 enter in nissanparts.cc then begin your world of detonation pain Link to comment

datzenmike
Only that the Z20 had two different rod sizes 152.5mm and another with the dished piston that is almost 4mm shorter. If someone has the SR piston pin height I can work it out. Link to comment
