addco rear sway bar installation for a 620 datsun

I would give a call the ADDCO... that bar may not be correct for the truck.

The one I bought from NEVERENOUGHAUTO (egay) was made by ADDCO too, and, of course, was the completely wrong part. I had to get a hold of the guy, John from ADDCO, and have him confirm that they sent the wrong part (or that the part didnt exist for my application in the first place!!!) before I got a full refund... but I eventually did.

 

So, maybe John can get you dialed in on the correct part..? or get your money back.

if you look close you will see that they made a plate that goes between the sping and the shock mount that holds the lower sway bar mount

Ohhhh, yeah, that would work. bracket would have to be stiff stuff to get the intended effect.

what if you face these u bolts towards the rear, the threaded parts pointed to the rear, would it fit then? i was just looking thru the manual and saw one like that on a hardbody or something..

You see the bend in the middle of the bar? Well that is supposed to go around the diff when there is movement. But if i flip it over. it will hit the drive shaft and have no play at all.

 

At the moment I will leave the sway bar until last. I could get other stuff done that I know fits and not get so stressed out. Thanks!!!

the addco sway bars i have seen are yellow, i work at oreilly and i looked them up and they show a yellow one, it fits other mini trucks as well

you need to not flip it...... but install it the same way you have it but with the bar ends facing the rear of the truck then it may work right

Yeah dont flip it just turn it around, even in the "crappy diagram" it shows the bar ends pointing away from the diff. You will than have to drill 2 holes in the frame for the end link bracket. At least that is what i think it should be like.

Honestly I have not installed it yet and fuck that piece of shit. FUCK IT! I gave up on it and its laying around in the garage somewhere.

Motavated, Here are the photos I just took. Remember the axle brackets need to be as close to the springs as possible and spaced evenly. I hope this helps, if you need anymore help pm me and I will give you my number.
