  1. The naval flag(Rising Sun) had 18 I thought. That's how many my actual Japanese Naval Flag has.
  2. That's a metric shit ton of HP and torque. How do you get it moving?

    Fender rolling

I had issues with my rear tires rubbing. I took them off and banged the inside lip flush with the body. Normally it sticks horizontally into the wheel well. I just smashed it up. Don't even notice a difference but I have about 3/4" clearance from my tires now.
  4. The only issues we had were getting the transmission out(my exhaust and ebrake cable were giving us issues), and the motor getting stuck on some stuff. we had to remove the fan, and the motor mounts from the engine because they kept getting stuck on the exhaust manifold. Other than that it was cake. I need to power wash the bottom of my engine so I can see the bolts for my oil pan removal. I need to figure those wires out! lol
  5. Got the radiator, AC radiator thing, transmission and motor out today. It's slow going, but neither of us have done this before and we only have a few hours on weekends to do it. Next weekend, possibly this week if I have time, I'll be swapping the alternator, oil pan, clutch slave cylinder, etc then bolting it all together with the new transmission stuff. My 4-speed was in horrible shape. The bell housing was full of oil and dirt. Oh, I also managed to break a bunch of wires off of the transmission. Not on purpose, but just turning the plugs to unscrew them broke the wires off. So I think I'll need to rewire those. I know one is the reverse light, but the others I'm not sure of. Time to break out the old wiring diagram  Aaron! You and Atom need to come out here and help me with this :D I hear you have experience!
  6. Muscle cars aren't really fast. They're fat and have a lot of HP. I've yet to see one that actually moves though. Anyway, why is it so 'impossible' to register a Skyline in the US?
  7. The Cube finally comes to the US! They had to make quite a few design changes to it though. It used to look really cutesy.
  8. My comment was about 200% sarcasm. I agree with 72240z though. If you're going to spend $15k, go with a GTR or a Hakosuka. Mmm...hakosuka.
  9. So as nerdy as this is going to make me look, I participate in a sim-racing league. It's an F3000 league(Formula 3000, not as powerful as F1). It's all quite realistic as far as physics and gameplay go. Punctures, body damage, mechanical damage, overheating, etc...all play into the race. Anyway, every team that entered needed custom livery for their team cars. Me, lacking in any creativity of my own, took cues from the Ratsun community and incorporated them into my car. I usually have the Ratsun logo plastered somewhere on each of the cars I use for different vehicle classes(GT, Touring, etc) It's not the best job in the world, but it still took a few days to do  Oh yeah, and the numberplates aren't on so the front looks a bit bare. My team consists of me, and a guy from Wales. The next season doesn't start until the 28th of Feb, so wish me luck :fu:
  10. I'm a 2fast 2furious guy. That Tokyo Drift stuff i for amateurs.
  11. Unfortunately, not much. Have to help my mother move out of her house today, but Tomorrow we should get back on it. Pain in the arse lining up openings in our schedules. I'll make sure to bring a better camera than my phone :D
  12. What's the horizontal tube with the 4 tubes coming off the exhaust manifold for? My exhaust mani has the 4 tubes but they're all clamped shut.
  13. Utah you only need one mirror. Even if I needed more, I have a wink mirror which I count as 5 :fu::lol:
  14. I'm pulling the radiator because there's another radiator in front of it(for AC?) that isnt hooked up to anything. so I'm pulling it out for weight savings:fu: and because it blocks my actual radiator. Might as well pull it if it's not in use, right?
  15. We'll probably put it back in as one unit. We already have it all separated for pulling. I'm really really excited to drive my 510 again.
  16. I wasn't aware they used different oil pans and such. I'll remove them off of my engine and put them on the new one. As far as the selling it. You seemed to be telling me not to own a 510 because I'm not a mechanic. Your help and opinion are incredibly valuable to me. So hearing you tell me I shouldn't own a 510 is kind of discouraging :( Either way, we're getting back to work today. Couldn't do anything yesterday because of the snow. Hopefully we'll get it pulled quickly. Do you guys suggest removing the rad to pull the engine? I am taking the radiator out anyway, so if it'll be easier to pull the motor without it I'll do that first.
  17. That sucks, dude :( But now do you see why I like paypal? :P
  18. I miss my Weber. That thing made my car sound so cool.
  19. Alright. Got the car to the garage(barn) that we'll be doing the swap in. I'm really excited about it :D Got all the parts ready to put in. Well most of them :P Here it is 2 hours into the swap. Got everything removed from the engine, we're dropping the transmission tomorrow morning and pulling the engine out after that. Do you guys suggest keeping them together and pulling them? or separating them? Also should we put them back in together or separate?
  20. I really miss the sound of my old DCOE. If I had monies, a manifold, and the patience to tune them I'd be all over it :P
  21. Been years since I've seen that video. Always good for a laugh :D:D
