  1. I don't honestly know! :( I'm gonna have a look in the Black Dragon catalog at work later and see if they're still selling these pieces. Also - excellent decision on the 4.11's, haha!
  2. There's a barb further down the back of the motor to connect the rear barb of the tee. The other will go to your catch can, as it used to feed the factory intake elbow off the turbo.
  3. My tension rod cups were destroyed on the drivers side, so I welded on the old washers from the factory arms and drilled them out to accept the new washers on the T3 rods. Awfully nice meow. I brought a bunch of milk crates and storage bins to tidy my space further, and found this in the bottom of one of my old boxes. Like a fucking chump! :( Anyone have a black surround they'd like to send me?
  4. I'm getting myself psyched to pour the cocks to this thing over the fall and winter months. I want this shit totally fucking finished mid-way through winter. Save money in to the spring for a spare set of Wat's or MK3's for endless burnouts. Continued where I left off the other night. Before; After;
  5. Not sure if you're being facetious or not, but the rails of a back-halfed truck bare great resembelance to that rail he's beginning to bend up for his 510. Gotta 'Z' those fuckers to go low-low! Also, I'm excited to see where this thing goes - it's always nice to start with a blank page. :)
  6. Naw, same sized booster - but with a 1" MC now.
  7. Holding it down for rusty cars across the province, haha! Picked up a couple goodies yesterday and this afternoon. Grabbed my weld-on quick release, as well as my rebuilt brake booster - everything about it is so much nicer now. Should look a hell of a lot tidier in there now.
  8. I was supposed to be picking up a 4.11 R180 on Friday, but it looks like only 3.90's made it on the shipment. There's supposed to be another container coming over with a couple of 4.11's in another few weeks - so I'm gonna wait it out as I don't want to settle just yet. A friend also turned me on to Kirk Racing for my cage needs as trying to make that ghetto hoop work was going to be sort of hack and not at all what I was in to. The Cusco that I was looking in to originally fell through with my contact in Japan. I'm just waiting to hear back about confirmation on this bugger here, with a removable diagonal brace, and the additional door bars.
  9. Thanks for the kind words, Indy - your comment has me sitting in my office grinning this morning. I took a couple of weeks off from her recently, and it makes coming back to it a hell of a lot more fun. Cheers!
  10. Thanks very much, dude - I hate to think that I've been working on this thing for a year and a half! <_<
  11. That's really unfortunate. I'd never had the opportunity to see one before this, but I'm beyond sold on this platform. It's a good friend of mine who's been picking up the pieces where the previous owner left off - it's come a long way, and is probably my favorite of his collection.
  12. The synchros are toast in fourth which makes downshifting a predicament, but it is still so much fun. It seemed rather content to hit limiter all afternoon!
  13. Progress is good, ahah. As far as the seats go - it's super simple. I just welded new plate to where the old rails used to go, and bolted my seat directly to the floor. Obviously the procress was a little more involved as getting it level and centered was a total pain in the ass. I'm 6'1" and it puts me nice and low in the car. I wish! It's just a really big quanza hut. Cleaned up the ebrake assembly yesterday, watched a friend make ricey modifications to his car, and tore around in a Starlet. This car is so much god damned fun.
  14. Thanks, fellas. I'm glad you guys can get a kick out of this!
  15. I did away with my wipers, and shaved the cowl accordingly. I really can't wait to be able to call this my nightly office... Going to be back up there going at it tomorrow morning. I feel really good about the car lately, so I might as well ride the high.
  16. Looksie at what finally came in the god damned mail! This is going out for a rebuild this week. Going to use this main hoop to begin drafting up a simple 6-point that I'll be making because I'll be damned if I'm spending $1200 on a bolt-in. Dropped this out this evening, going to rip it all apart and ensure working order before a good lick of paint and back in she goes.
  17. Did some other shit. Rear main seal, fly wheel, and test fitting of the clutchzor. Exedy lightweight business. Holy shit, Deaner - she fits! Splitfires and some mystery NGK R's.
  18. Back from the dead, and here's a photo dump. Had to do some McGyver'ing to get this whole disc conversion to work properly, as there was some serious lack of hardware, and of course the fucking holes stripped out. Finally together.
  19. Fuck, this is the flossiest engine bay ever! Love your build, dude.
  20. Thanks very much! I'd take a 510 over the Z any day of the week though, haha.
  21. I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out. It's not terribly pretty, but it most definitely serves a purpose. Still have to drill the back of the pan and weld the nut on for the drain plug, but it's coming along with the other nuts and bolts for the hub. That's all for this weeks festivities - it's been a slow one.
  22. Not sure if I've ever really touched on the oil pan that's currently on my motor. It's one of the Enjuku oil pans, and it looks like a pile of shit. Very crudely assembled, but it doesn't leak, and it is pretty well baffled inside. Anyways, for whatever stupid reason - they put the drain plug on the very bottom of the pan. This was the only little bit that had a possibility of being sheared off as the rest of the pan tucks marginally above my crossmember. I knew I needed a skid plate of some sort, but I didn't want to fuck around welding shit to my crossmember. Initially I wanted to section the pan and raise it about an inch, but the pick-up wouldn't allow me to do so. In the end, I decided I'd just relocate the drain plug and armour the pan in a way that would protect it, but not destroy it if it were to ever touch the ground. And, so - you have the following; Bent up a skid plate that would weld directly to the pan. I left about a quarter of an inch between the two panels so that there would be some give should anything smash the skid plate.
  23. Had a bit of a lazy week, but got some shit did. My rear spline shafts came in the mail from California, and I happily began to assemble my last hub. Obviously it didn't go smoothly, as all three holes I need to bolt the adapter to are stripped right out. I'm going to drill them out, weld some nuts to the back, and then use longer bolts to make it through. Those should be here on Monday. Going to have to break it apart once again... Grabbed all the T-Bolt Clamps I needed for my intake piping. Just crossing off shit to buy one by one. Welded my drain plug shut on my oil pan.
  24. Have to whore a couple pictures I really liked from today!
  25. Thanks, man. It was a little tedious, but I'm glad I figured it out.
