  1. Dear lord, I'd buy 'em in a heartbeat if 14's would clear my brakes. Do us all a favour and purchase these so they end up on a cool car and not some decrepit piece of trendy shit!
  2. What ever you do, don't break the fucking easy-out! Left-handed drill bits have worked well in the past, also.
  3. It made me smile to see everything they'd written on the packaging. It's nice to see people have fun with what they're doing, and to take things lightly and have a good time - gave me a good laugh. Your car is beyond impressive, and makes me wish I had some finesse with the execution of my project. Keep it up, brother.
  4. Yanked this pile for final assembly. And, here's a look at that shifter plate I had made. That's all for now until parts arrive. I'm getting really anxious for wiring and all that other fun stuff. I wanna start this shit!
  5. Got a little shit done last week and yesterday afternoon. Blew the rear suspension apart for powdercoating some stuff, multi-link, and rear discs. This has me kicking myself for half-assing things the first time. Oh, well - live and learn! Blown apart awaiting bearings, brakes, and paint. Dropped out for 4.11's and paint.
  6. Thanks, man! I'm trying to plug away at it while I can. Thanks very much. I've got an invoice or receipt for everything last thing I've bought for this car. I'm sure I could have shaved some dollars here and there, but I didn't want to put a budget on it if I didn't have to. I look at it as incentive to go to work every day! ;)
  7. I got the 1" Wilwood one. It's whatever he suggested, and I just said 'Ok'.
  8. Thanks very much! Any knowledge has just come from asking questions, and researching anything you need to know. The internet has been an excellent tool. Ahhh, fair enough! Yeah, I bought one of their huge master cylinders, also.
  9. Car looks awesome, brother! I might've missed it, but why'd ya bother with the steelies if you had the MK2's and 3's kickin' around? Keep it up! :)
  10. These are hands down one of the most stylish cars in existance. Taking a longer than anticipated lunch to finish reading your whole build! :)
  11. That's surprising actually. I spoke with Al from Datsun Parts LLC shortly after I'd posted that first comment, and he answered every question I had with confidence. I ended up ordering both of those kits I pictured above minus the lines. He was super helpful, and cut me a great deal for what it's worth. What was your experience with them?
  12. Has anyone on here ever used the Wilwood brake kits? I was at TMP on Wednesday night and there was an '73 with stock brakes having an hard time flogging it down the straight because the brakes were holding him back. I know my car is only a street car, but I can't help but feel like the stock brakes will still be lacking something. That, and I'm truly sick of seeing drums in the rear. Looking at these for the front... And, this for the rear... Thoughts? I would highly recommend it, dude. Having an awesome alignment will make the money spending totally worth it.
  13. Thanks, guys! It's always nice to see people backing what you're doing. I'm on a bit of a hiatus from car work right now, as the weather is beautiful, and I'm waiting on some parts. But, soon enough I'll try and do something cool - promise!
  14. Skid plate will be a definite. Right now my oil pan is above my cross member, but just barely. I'm going to drill some holes, and weld some nuts in to the engine cross member so I can just bolt a skid plate on.
  15. I thought was alright for what it is, haha. Once you start messing around with twin and triple plates is when you're looking at $1800 - $2500 clutches! I'm sure the stock clutch would have been well suited to the power figure I'm shooting for, but I just wanted the added security of knowing I could kick the shit out of it.
  16. I got it locally, at a place called JRP - and, it came to about $500 after taxes. That's the pressure plate you see sittin' beside it there!
  17. I love how the picture of you inside the car really puts how tiny these things are in to perspective. Other pictures are rather deceiving!
  18. Hey, thanks! :) So, I was looking through T3's website again and thought this would look pretty. So, DUH! Had to have it, haha... They didn't have the rad hoses in stock for me this evening, but they did have a clutch!
  19. Welp, contrary to my beliefs - my control arms actually showed up. Gonna buy a clutch and my rad hoses tomorrow night. Have to weld a reducer on the water neck, and then I'll rig all that shit up.
  20. No hay ninguna razón que no podía encontrar otro! Estoy usando la misma cosa para traducir, haha.
  21. Welp, here goes nothin'; Muchas gracias, amigo! Una locura pensar que la gente en Argentina está leyendo este hilo.
  22. At this point I just want to know my shit is going to arrive, and that I won't have to file a PayPal claim. My old email address was compromised in the midst of all this, so I've got no access to the confirmations of payment, or any of the original emails. Really hoping I don't get fucked on this.
  23. That's what I mean! Normally I'm really quite patient, and will just let things show up as they do without so much as asking for a tracking number. I cleared the payment for shipping on these items on March 16th! <_<
